This work systematically explains the legal principles of the treatment contract. The following topics are covered, among others: Contractual partners and the nature of the treatment contract, special relationships under public law, conclusion of the contract, treatment, documentation, liability and burden of proof as well as the obligations of doctors and patients. Matters such as the IPR of the treatment contract, special areas of special forms of treatment and medical confidentiality in medical practices and hospitals are further focal points.
