Product details

The sculptural work of Felix Schramm (born 1970 in Hamburg, lives and works in Düsseldorf) engages with space and body. Through various approaches such as installation-based spatial interventions, sculptures, and collages, the artist generates his spatial forms, using both classic materials, industrially produced materials, as well as waste and dust. Deformations, cracks, breaks, or disturbances undermine the existing order in his constructed ensembles of forms. This creates new spatial relationships and temporal interconnections. Material and shaping are brought into a precarious relationship and transformed through decomposition, which is an integral part of Schramm's work, into new formations and reconstructions. The extensive publication gathers works and exhibitions from the last five years and is Schramm's first monograph, showcasing a cross-section of his entire oeuvre with all strands of his work.
