Habsburg und die Slavia

The question of the relationships between the Slavic countries incorporated into the Danube Monarchy and Austria-Habsburg is of enduring interest, especially in light of the transformation processes currently taking place in the affected countries. Fourteen distinguished scholars present exemplary individual studies on this issue from historical, Slavic literary, linguistic, as well as art and cultural historical perspectives, focusing on various regions of Slavia (Bohemia, Poland, Croatia, Ukraine, Slovenia). Beyond the disciplinary contributions of each individual essay, the appeal of this collection lies in the mix of approaches, the compelling variety of detailed questions, and the diversity of methodological procedures.
