Product details

In the biblical book of Habakkuk, a prophet from the Old Testament poses a multitude of questions. What makes it special is that he directs these questions to God, and he does so without holding back. He often simply does not understand God's actions. He lives in a time when the northern part of Israel is being led into exile because the people have turned away from their God. Habakkuk disagrees with this punishment because, from his perspective, not all of his fellow travelers have abandoned God. Therefore, he wonders why the righteous in this world must also suffer and why many people in the southern part of the country, who have much more wrongdoing, are not punished. Where is the divine logic in that?

The author Leo Bigger writes from personal experience. Speaking candidly and without pious platitudes, he addresses God with immense honesty, just like Habakkuk. Through his authentic and often cheeky manner, he helps both himself and us draw closer to God and understand Him better. This is a book for anyone longing for a passionate, honest communication and relationship with God.
