Product details
The activists of the far-right Identitarian Movement (IB) are gaining media attention and are being recognized for their political activities. While one activist vehemently advocates for a return to traditional values, the other presents an almost emancipatory image of women. In her study, sociologist Julia Haas addresses these tensions and examines whether there is indeed a pluralization of images of women within the Identitarian Movement and what impact this discourse has on gender-political ideology within the far-right. To explore these questions, Haas analyzes the self-images of Identitarian activists based on their positions regarding gender relations, relationships and love, femininity, motherhood, the Identitarian Movement, feminism, and sexualized violence or sexism.
