Basic Vocabulary Plus - Revised Edition!

The Basic Vocabulary Plus has been completely revised: it comes with a new look and the dictionary index has been updated.

What makes this dictionary special is the sorting of words by their root! By emphasizing this, the words are divided into "prefix, root, connector, and ending" - this helps children understand the systematics of word formation.

The dictionary is designed as a workbook because when it comes to spelling, one must write! Children can make notes and enter tricky words in the book, as well as stick in the included animal stickers and homophone stickers. By participating and individually working on the pages, the dictionary becomes a personalized learning book!

To introduce the use of the dictionary, there is a preliminary course with 250 animal names on the first pages. Here, simple tasks are used to introduce and practice lookup techniques.

English for Beginners

The subtitle is also the program: English for Beginners is almost self-explanatory. The starting point is - as always in learning - what is already known: children know many English words - and more can be made from that. In the footnotes, there are English equivalents, related words, and phrases. A green dot with a number means: "This exists in English," but not systematically. Just as one learns a language: at the right opportunity, so to speak.
