Grundriss der Geschite der Philosophie / Deutschsprachiger Raum 1800-1830

This volume on philosophy in the German-speaking world from 1800 to 1830 deals not only with canonical thinkers such as Fichte, Schelling, and Hegel, but also with school and network formations. The international authorship also considers in detail the interconnections of the history of philosophy with the history of culture and science, treats separately academic and public debates, and discusses the importance of media (newspapers, journals, etc.) for philosophical discourse.

This volume is the first of three sub-volumes on philosophy in the German-speaking world, which together form the anchor of the Grundriss series Die Philosophie des 19. Jahrhunderts. The two further volumes will be devoted to the periods 1830 to 1871 and 1871 to 1914/18. The series on the 19th century follows on seamlessly from the presentation of the history of philosophy in the series Die Philosophie des 18.
