Grundlagen der Chemotherapie

The biochemical and ecological aspects of resistance development in microorganisms and tumor cells, the problems and possibilities of the combined use of chemotherapeutics, as well as the logistical and scientific foundations for the search for new chemotherapeutics are discussed. The question of the origins of chemotherapy also leads to the weaknesses inherent in the concept of this therapeutic discipline, which impose limits on the application of chemotherapy. The last chapter addresses these limitations and the possibilities of overcoming them. It is almost self-evident that a text like this cannot cover all aspects of chemotherapy in the same detail. This book does not provide an encyclopedic presentation of chemotherapy but rather explains some of its fundamental issues.
