This work provides a fundamental and comprehensive overview of the financing of outpatient services, focussing on billing on the basis of statutory health insurance. The parties involved in the provision of care, the relevant service providers and the underlying legal relationships are presented. The current legal situation is taken into account, which has seen extensive changes in recent years, particularly in the area of billing for outpatient operations, but also in the standardised assessment scale (EBM).
