The 4th edition of the introductory course on the General Part of the Swiss Code of Obligations has been updated, partially expanded, and selectively deepened, without questioning the goal of providing a concise, comparably enriched introduction to contract law. The transition to e-learning made with the second edition has proven successful. The textbook is once again available both in print and in digital format (e-book) with various additional features, such as integrated access to the cited legal texts and important federal court decisions, as well as a digital flashcard system with control questions and answers. These tools facilitate students' self-study of the material. With the print version of the textbook, students gain access to an e-learning platform that allows them to check their knowledge and deepen their understanding while reading.
