Gruber:Margret

Margret is born in South Tyrol in 1943. She grows up in the protective environment of her parents' farm, despite the heavy blows of fate that affect her large family. Moreover, her remote idyllic mountain village is not spared from the political turmoil in South Tyrol. From an early age, the spirited girl learns that one of her aunts had been in constant danger as a teacher in the catacombs. One of her father's brothers was shot by partisans. Although the family remains untouched by the options available between 1939 and 1943, Margret is acutely aware of the time of bomb attacks and other assaults.
