Grenzen und Möglichkeiten der Musik im Grundschulunterricht

This research was born from the desire to examine the configuration of the pedagogical practice of early years teachers in elementary school in relation to Law 11.769/2008, which introduces music as a mandatory subject in primary education schools. Procedures were adopted to identify the presence of music in schools and to capture the possibilities and limitations of this teaching in the early years, as well as the actual actions of the municipal education department regarding the implementation process of Law 11.769/08. A quantitative-qualitative study was chosen as the methodological framework, involving fourteen teachers actively working in two educational institutions within the municipal network, and one hundred and thirty-two students regularly enrolled in these schools. For data collection, a semi-structured interview was used to capture the meanings, interpretations, and ideas that these individuals attribute to the proposed topic, along with bibliographic consultations and specific readings on the legal foundations governing elementary education in Brazil and the public policy concerning the inclusion of music in schools.
