Product details
The Graz Work Group, consisting of members Eugen Gross, Friedrich Gross-Rannsbach, Hermann Pichler, and Werner Hollomey, was a key protagonist of post-war Styrian architecture and an important pioneer of the Graz School. Socially progressive, with a strong participatory and scientific approach, and influenced by Swiss architecture as well as the Salzburg Summer Academy, they realized projects that remain architectural milestones and trailblazers to this day. A standout project from that time is the Graz Terrassenhaussiedlung St. Peter (1965-1978). Additionally, the student residence Hafnerriegel (1961-1964) and the student dormitory with cafeteria Leechgasse (1963) are testimonies to typological, social, and spatial innovations that brought architecture back into focus in Austria after a prolonged period of neglect.
