Quaestor Grayson Steel has taken a liking to his work as an investigator in the magical community, the Nebula Convicto. He and his Quadriga continue to search for the masterminds behind Sophia's kidnapping, which nearly led to a collapse of the magical world order. While they are searching for a runaway basilisk in the Black Forest, Grayson and his team are suddenly unwittingly drawn into an adventurous treasure hunt. By the next new moon, they must retrieve a stolen artifact. The trail of the stolen goods leads across Germany to Hamburg. There, Grayson Steel ultimately faces the servants of a believed-to-be-dead, ancient being that has darkened the world before. He must prevent the awakening of an elder being, or else Hamburg will be engulfed in a storm of violence and fire. And with the city, the Magical Hanse, the lifeblood of the Nebula Convicto….
