Graubündner Morgengrauen

Chur in the early 1950s. The entire area is in a state of turmoil after the red-bearded Zoltan has escaped from the mental asylum, specifically from the wing for mentally ill sexual offenders. No more than two days later, at dawn on a May morning, rural police officer Caminada and his friend Lieutenant Marugg must set out: An unknown caller, using a disguised voice, has reported to the police station that a gruesome crime has taken place on the sheep pasture at the edge of Chur. The two shepherdesses, who are sisters, lie dead in the knee-high grass – but there is more. Then the caller hung up. The crime scene bears witness to something horrific. A massive manhunt for the powerful Zoltan is underway, as the crime resembles one he committed thirteen years earlier in Schanfigg. Another lead takes Caminada and Marugg to the Wilden Mann, a dive frequented by shady characters.
