Grammar in primary school

"Can you see and touch these words?" As a German teacher, you have probably used this sentence before. You wouldn't be alone: teachers often try to make grammar comprehensible to children in this way. However, they often come up against the limits of technical correctness: love, idea, peace - not every noun can be touched. But what we teach at school at the beginning often has a long-lasting effect.
Is it possible to be technically correct and still be suitable for children? Good grammar lessons give pupils an exploratory approach to the German language. It also supports second language learners in particular. Textbook-based lessons usually cannot fulfil this requirement and there is often not enough time to create your own differentiated materials.
