Product details
With sarcasm and irony, a grotesque scenario is performed, which pretends reality, if the place of the action were not located in transcendence. A Kafkaesque imitation is opposed - with the exception of the protagonist - by historically documented characters such as Voltaire, the guillotined royal couple Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette of France, the executed spy and dancer Mata Hari, the Swedish Count Axel von Fersen, the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche and his sister Elisabeth Förster-Nietzsche. They are all concerned with the question of all questions, namely whether God exists, the answer to which ultimately remains open, but is more likely to be answered with a "no". At first reading seemingly a claptrap, but on second reading remains the attunement to an oppressive seriousness.
