Since her husband Daniel disappeared without a trace a year ago, Marnie Logan not only suffers from the uncertainty of what happened to Daniel, but she is also struggling with financial difficulties. Time and again, she is overcome by fear and feels as though she is being watched. This leads her to seek help from psychologist Joe O'Loughlin, who quickly suspects that Marnie is hiding something. When an album with photos of old friends, which Daniel intended to give to his wife, is discovered, the cruel story behind it emerges, deeply unsettling Joe.
