Product details

Globalization and the Rise of Ethnic Conflicts in Southeast Asia (SEA) is a report on how and why ethnic conflicts arise in the region. It aims to fill the gap in the existing literature regarding the transition from a relatively conservative and traditional society to an industrial region. The point that connects these two eras is the location where tensions and conflicts emerge, triggered by the effects of globalization and the reconfiguration of the political, economic, and social environment of the region. The ten countries in SEA were examined, and the main argument is that globalization and its homogenizing effect are inevitable, but if the governance in the countries of the region better aligns with the actual situation, then regional stability will be more realistic.
