Environmental engineering is a subsystem of civil engineering and chemical process engineering. They plan schemes for civil water sources and the creation of wastewater pipeline systems, and they develop strategies to combat waterborne diseases and restore cleanliness in urban, rural, and recreational areas. They assess organizational programs for hazardous waste to evaluate the severity of such dangers that directly target actions and suppression, and they develop principles to prevent disasters. Environmental engineers address environmental issues that affect residents and the public, such as acid rain, global warming, and ozone depletion.
