Gloaming

Keaton Henson shows us a spiritual world beyond our reality in his graphic novel Gloaming. His melancholic story tells, without words, of invisible creatures that sneak around our urban landscapes and suburbs, tirelessly searching for belonging. Henson's inspiration comes not only from his own childhood dreams but also from Scandinavian folklore, Japanese ghost stories, and the persistent tugging at the curtains in British suburbs that has quietly accompanied him in his self-imposed solitude. "I spent my childhood alone, with a view of rooftops and chimneys, wondering where all the creatures from my storybooks were, why I couldn't see them in the suburban landscape where they clearly belonged.
