Kevin Lötscher is just twenty-three years old when he scores two goals against the USA on May 9, 2011, marking his first ice hockey world championship. Everything seems possible, even the NHL, the most prestigious league in the world. Five days later, his fate takes a turn. On May 14, 2011, he is struck by a drunk driver on a road in the Valais and is catapulted 30 meters onto a pile of gravel. Unconscious, his life hangs by a thread. After suffering a severe traumatic brain injury, Kevin Lötscher must relearn simple tasks like walking and eating. Contrary to all medical predictions, he returns to the ice but must admit that his star has faded. The consequences of the accident are too profound. Kevin hangs up his skates and slips into darkness. "Ice Time" reflects on the time Kevin Lötscher spent on the ice, as well as the cold and dark period that followed. He shares how he climbed out of the abyss, strengthened by a conviction: one is always the master of the game of one's own life.
