Gjogsul

Frank Pelny presents in his book the close combat training of the NVA based on the Korean Gjogsul. Self-defense, dueling, close combat, martial arts, law enforcement – regardless of how it is labeled, one goal remains common to all: to successfully fend off attacks on life and health. The author introduces Gjogsul to the general public for the first time with this book. This close combat system, originating from North Korea, is presented here in the form in which it was trained by the paratroopers, scouts, and specialists of the National People's Army (NVA) of the former German Democratic Republic (GDR).
