Girls of the World – Mädchen der Welt

In 2013, photographer Mihaela Noroc decided to travel the world to realize her photo project "The Atlas of Beauty." The successful photo book showcases hundreds of strong women from various cultures around the globe and tells their stories. After the birth of her daughter, the photographer found new inspiration and launched her next major photo project. This time, she traveled to both nearby and distant countries to photograph young girls and immortalize their enchanting stories in her second photo book.

This book contains 250 portraits of girls from a wide range of countries around the world. The images are as unique as the girls they depict. Beauty and strength know no age, trends, or origin. The world holds an astonishing diversity, exciting traditions, and harsh realities. Yet, all these girls share one thing in common: they are brave, proud, and beautiful.
