Currently, the large number of ionizing materials used worldwide in water treatment allows for effective purification of wastewater from chemical contaminants, including toxic metal ions, through ionizing processes. Despite numerous studies, improving ionization methods for the separation and concentration of metals remains an urgent and priority task in water treatment within the hydrometallurgical industry. Scientific research is being conducted globally in priority areas to develop a new type of complexing ion exchange resins with unique physicochemical properties, which contain nitrogen and oxygen donor atoms and form complexes with certain metal ions and heavy organic compounds in solution, in order to determine the kinetics of ion adsorption and the mechanisms of complex formation during adsorption.
