How can one gain more power without oppressing others or submitting oneself? Nonviolent Communication recognizes two concepts of power: "power over" and "power with." This book explores the differences between them. The question that arises in this context is: How is it possible to increase one's power while acting in harmony with one's own values and needs as well as those of others? The book is based on a seminar that Marshall Rosenberg held a few years ago in Italy, in collaboration with Vilma Costetti. In dialogue with seminar participants, he sheds light on various areas of power, such as political power and power in organizations. He also examines the role of power in schools and families, as well as the power of empathy and its significance for our health.
