What do commercially available metal parts look like and what are their uses? The chapter on tools and machines presents the basic equipment for working with metal and provides important safety recommendations. Subsequently, the fundamental techniques are discussed in detail, including cutting, joining, and shaping, surface treatment, and the basics of forging.
