For the 2020/21 school year, a new core curriculum for the subject of Social Studies came into effect in North Rhine-Westphalia. To support this, we have developed the textbook series "Social Studies – North Rhine-Westphalia" in collaboration with experts from the state. This series offers innovative and up-to-date products for modern Social Studies instruction. In addition to the new curriculum, the guidelines of the media competence framework and the specific challenges of heterogeneous learning groups have been taken into account.

The concept provides the opportunity to work on problem-oriented and student-centered content along double pages, which are aligned with the didactic structure of lesson plans. At the same time, the section "Together Active" offers concrete suggestions for exploring larger units through self-directed learning in project groups. This allows you to easily and quickly create a particularly diverse and engaging classroom experience.

A distinctive feature of the series is its orientation towards the students' real-life experiences. Through case studies, they are directly addressed. A creative variety of images, graphics, and text materials, engaging tasks, method and foundational knowledge pages, as well as a competency check at the end of major chapters complete the offering.

In a precisely designed supplementary differentiation booklet, there are additional opportunities for differentiation and activation.
