Current developments are massively questioning the church's official theology and sexual teachings. The NT does not offer any simple solutions here. The articles ask about constructions and stereotypes of gender roles, about the relationship between sexuality and gender and their integration into power structures, about statements on homosexuality, about time-conditioned cultural norms for sexuality and marriage as well as "misconduct" or refractions among the first Christians. Finally, the relevance of the Bible for current ethical debates on sexuality and gender is critically reflected.
