In the centuries between 1350 and 1750, the history of the world finally becomes a coherent world history. New empires expand across all continents, while Western European seafarers transform the Atlantic into an inland sea and Islam dominates the trade systems from the Mediterranean to Southeast Asia. With the volume "World Empires and World Oceans," the third volume of the grand history of the world, which is planned to consist of a total of six volumes, is now available.
