In his three-volume work, historian Aloys Schulte compiles a history of the Great Ravensburg Trading Company, which from the late 14th to the beginning of the 16th century was one of the most important European trading companies of the late Middle Ages. The first volume covers, among other things, its origins and organization, as well as the trading places where the company operated. This book is a reprint of the original edition from 1923, which has long been out of print.
