In addition to three extensive texts at the beginning, this first sub-volume contains numerous smaller individual works that have not yet been included in the "Collected Works", which were published at different times and on different occasions and have so far only been accessible in scattered form: Lectures, prefaces, book reviews, newspaper articles. They revolve around numerous topics that Jung has dealt with scientifically: In addition to questions of psychiatric practice, they touch on problems of occultism and spiritism. In the works that precede them, the reader is given access to the basic ideas of C. G. Jung's psychology. In particular, the five lectures entitled "On the Foundations of Analytical Psychology", held in London in 1935 under the name "Tavistock Lectures", contain Jung's view of the human psyche and show which methods he used to research it.
