The tenth volume of "Forms of Storytelling": Christoph Ransmayr praises and thanks, questions and struggles. "The transformation of something into words is one of the most diverse and extraordinary transformations possible in our world." This is what Christoph Ransmayr speaks about in his speeches, reminding us that it is often the childlike, vulnerable, archaic, or traumatically wounded aspects of poetry, as well as the untamed, mad elements of prose and drama, that move, captivate, or overwhelm us. Among the noblest possibilities of literature, Ransmayr counts the enhancement of imagination through storytelling about the actual lives of individuals, thereby immunizing against dogma and cliché, the prerequisites of all barbarism, and perhaps even finding a hint of happiness within that.
