After studying at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts, I worked in the following years as an art educator and painter. In 1979, I began collaborating with Langenscheidt Verlag and other international publishers. Teaching assignments, seminars, and workshops on the topic "The Language of Images" took me almost around the globe. Even though I have primarily worked as a text author for years, the visual elements in teaching materials are still important to me: "Every image has two: one who creates it and one who needs it."
