Generation Angst

Three technological megatrends defined the noughties: the iPhone, hyperviralised social media platforms and selfie culture. The result: an entire generation of children and young people spent several hours a day scrolling through articles by influencers and teenagers instead of playing, talking or making eye contact with other people. The members of Generation Z thus became test subjects for growing up in an environment radically reshaped by social media.
