Gelebte und erzählte Scharia in der Schweiz

This book addresses the question of which Islamic norms guide women who have converted to Islam. What does Sharia or Islamic law mean to them? How do they learn and live "Islam"? What is the relationship between Islamic norms and state law for them? Women from Switzerland tell their learning stories on these questions. Every coexistence of people takes place according to principles, rules, norms and values. People orient themselves to different normative orders: to state constitutions and laws, but also to local customs and traditions, religious codes and other social norms of their respective communities. This publication analyzes these complex interdependencies for a specific group of people in Switzerland.
