While historiography is often confined to the perspective of individuals, this volume presents a multi-perspective account, close to the direct statements of those who have been and are involved in the discourse: Over 50 sex educationists from different generations working in science and practice describe their experiences and perspectives. The result is a living, concrete, "lived history" of sex education since the "puberty of the republic", that is, since the beginning of the 1960s. In addition to the central discourses, the current topics of the discipline and profession will be examined separately: sexual and professional socialisation of professionals; sexual education struggles for direction and issues of fear; sex education, sexology and gender studies; sexuality of children; sex education, prevention of violence and media.
