A true Lacombe of the eerie kind. Benjamin Lacombe has long been a great fan of Japanese culture, where modern technology intertwines with the notion of a nature inhabited by spirits. It was therefore inevitable that he would eventually come across the famous collection of Japanese ghost stories by Lafcadio Hearn. He must have been particularly fascinated by the story of a boy who is expelled from the temple where he is to be trained as a priest because he keeps drawing. On his last night in the temple, before the priest advises him to go home and become an artist instead, the boy hears the noise of a terrible massacre. When he finally dares to emerge from his hiding place, he sees a giant rat demon lying in its blood. The many cats he had drawn during his lessons have put an end to the demon. His artistic talent has given the boy power over demons!.
