This book tells the stories of various prisoners that Linus Förster got to know during his time in prison. These stories shed light on the profound problems and challenges that prisoners face, from prison conditions to release and reintegration into society. It shows the often inhumane side of imprisonment and emphasises the urgent need for change and reform. As a former member of the Bavarian state parliament and prison advisory board, the author aims to draw attention to the weaknesses and inadequacies of our justice system. He addresses the shortcomings in legislation that make the path to resocialisation more difficult and shows how our policies have failed to meet the needs and rehabilitation of prisoners. The aim is not only to raise awareness of the deficits in the prison system, but also to stimulate an urgently needed discussion about reforms.
