Gauglitz:Neighbourhood map of Berlin

This map presents a comprehensive overview of the immense diversity of Berlin's neighborhoods. More than 400 neighborhoods and districts create a juxtaposition of living environments, as they are perceived based on the self-understanding, lived history, and sense of belonging and community of their residents. The classification is therefore not official; it was created by the residents and is in constant flux. New neighborhoods can emerge whenever residents of certain streets develop a sense of belonging. The map captures the common neighborhood names, determined based on written sources and countless conversations with residents. "Neighborhoodology" is thus not an exact science; variations of the presented names are possible. The map displays the outlines and names of the neighborhoods and districts in color on a black-and-white map base. Special emphasis is placed on all Berlin weekly markets and market halls (with market days indicated on the main map), as well as city libraries and U-Bahn and S-Bahn stations. The cartography and map illustration reference old maps. Map size: 130 x 73 cm, delivered folded: 33 x 24 cm, also suitable as a wall map.
