The story collection "Outpost in the Sea of Sand" by the German author Thomas Loikaja was first published in 1980 as volume 449 of the legendary pulp series "Terra Astra." "Outpost in the Sea of Sand" is being released in the "Galaxis Science Fiction" series from Apex Publishing, where SF pulp classics are being reissued as revised new editions.
