The Board of Directors is receiving increasing attention in publications on corporate governance research. However, it is largely unknown how the Board is specifically involved in strategy, particularly what processes are associated with it, how the division of labor with management works, and what influences affect Board involvement. Daniel Hohmann develops a concept that consists of a governance strategy process, Board involvement, as well as the division of labor with management and the influencing factors. He examines this concept through four case studies of large Swiss companies.
