This textbook provides a practice-oriented introduction to the fundamentals, techniques, and applications of descriptive statistics, covering all important aspects of a course on the subject. It addresses the basic methods of univariate and bivariate procedures, which are applied to business examples using computer-based calculations. Students gain the competence to efficiently apply descriptive methods in the computer programs Excel, SPSS, and STATA, calculate results independently, and, most importantly, interpret them.
