This practical textbook therefore contains 49 game and exercise formats that can be significantly expanded using the described control options. Each format is presented with an image, a detailed sequence, possible variations, helpful tips for coaches, and an assessment of difficulty. Additionally, 15 selected game and exercise formats are offered as accessible videos to facilitate a better understanding of the individual training forms. Beyond these practical aspects of the sport of football, the two authors explain fundamental concepts such as tactics versus technique or game versus exercise, and they discuss scientific findings, for example, regarding children's football. This practical knowledge aims to provide educators with inspiration for university-level football training, offer coaches many ideas for concrete implementation in training practice, assist teachers in working with largely heterogeneous groups, and help recreational athletes expand their repertoire of football game formats.
