The basis for this is the standards and guidelines for electrical systems in residential buildings, primarily DIN 18015 and RAL-RG 678 in their current editions. Furthermore, the author explains important protective measures against electric shock, surge protection, as well as grounding and potential equalization, which are crucial for residential buildings. Another important focus, alongside building automation, is communication technology. By compiling basic information in the "ABC of Electrical Installation," the aim is to improve communication among all parties involved, including the clients, architects, electrical planners, and electrical installers.
