In the 80s, not only Helmut Kohl is booming - so is Tim Gerlacker! He enjoys his childhood in the age of VHS recorders, Deutschmarks, television announcers and ZDF wish films, and spends every free minute with his best friend Lukas in deep Bavaria - in a decade in which there are still posted border houses and thick ADAC car atlases, but neither central locking nor power steering are standard. And certainly not a sunroof! What a "pleasure" to be stuck in a traffic jam on the way to Austria at 34 degrees in the shade... In a fast-paced rollercoaster ride of emotions, the teenagers experience the ups and downs of a secretly homosexual relationship. "Pull yourself together' is the motto!
