Once upon a time, and still today, storytelling and listening to fairy tales are among the special moments of childhood, youth, and even old age. In response to the often-asked questions from parents and educators about the when, what, and how of storytelling, Arnica Esterl does not provide hasty answers but instead focuses on the fairy tale itself and the answers that are already present within it: Fairy tales are as alive as life, as old as the ancients, as young as children, as cruel as our follies, and as wise as the truth we seek.
