Free from self-deception

Buddha's liberating teaching of non-self. There is no spiritual practice if we do not leave behind self-deception and stop struggling to achieve spiritual states. We must give this up; otherwise, there is no spirituality. Rodney Smith can best be described as a Buddhist revolutionary who is not satisfied with formulaic expressions but has delved into the core. He especially thanks his teachers Ajahn Buddhadassa and Nisargadatta Maharaj, as well as others who have directly influenced the content of this book, such as Jiddu Krishnamurti, Tulku Urgyen, Adyashanti, and Eckhart Tolle. Occasionally, a book appears that revives our understanding of who we are and how we live. "Out of Self-Deception" is such a book. It is a wonderfully fresh and beautifully written exploration of the topic.
