Both pitched and flat roofs often experience recurring issues. This book includes a compilation of particularly damage-intensive construction and processing methods. In addition to construction recommendations, selected technical problems and their corresponding solutions are described in the areas of weather protection performance, durability of bitumen and plastic seals, homogeneous bonding, positional stability, roof anchoring, and door threshold sealing. The author addresses questions of air tightness in roof elements and sandwich profiles, as well as errors in handling sealing layers, and provides valuable tips for damage assessment and localization, as well as for the formulation of expert reports. In the second edition, many sections have been updated and expanded, and the area of solar roof constructions has been newly included. Here, the author outlines his focal points.
