This volume has been specially designed to meet the requirements of undergraduate courses in French Romance Studies. It not only provides a thorough introduction to the relevant basic subject knowledge, but also stands out for its special consideration of aspects relevant to practice. Numerous exercises, as an integral part of the concept, enable the rapid application and review of what has been learned and support a sustainable acquisition of competence. For the fourth edition, Unit 13, which is dedicated to the modern media landscape, has been fundamentally revised.
